Thomas Kirby

Thomas Adrain Kirby, 80 of Lumberton, Texas died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

He was born October 10, 1937 in Houston, Texas to Olin F. Kirby and Fay Trahan.  He follows in death, both parents, his brother O.G. Kirby daughter Teri Lynette Kirby and T.K. Kirby.  He spent almost 40 years in the Navy, Active and Reserve.  He was a Retired Maintenance Electrician at Mobil Chemical Beaumont.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Henrietta “Hedy” Kirby, daughter Sandra Lee Kirby, Daughter Heather Feldman and her husband Chad, grandson, Judd Ross; Sons, Jimmy Thomas, Kelly Kenser; multiple nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as dear friends Dorita Capps, K.P. and Joanna Moreau and many more.

His love for his family extends way beyond his biological family.  Once he met you, he would adopt you as his own or volunteer to mow your grass! He enjoyed his retirement by helping others, being an active grandfather and performing odd jobs for anyone in need.  For those that knew him, their lives are forever changed by his infectious laugh, bright smile, and sense of humor.
