Thomas Patrick Foran, age 74 passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was born March 18, 1943, in Niagara Falls, New York, to Thomas Patrick and Dolores (Gaffney) Foran. He was a 1961 graduate of Greene Central High School and a New York State Wrestling Champion. He served our country from April 1964 until June 1970, in the Army National Guard attaining the rank of Captain. He worked as a telecommunications engineer across the country and throughout the world displaying an unimaginable work ethic and ability to problem-solve. Tom lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; telling tall tales with his Irish gift of gab, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Tom had an uncanny ability to share his love, life lessons, and his unending faith with all whose path he happened to cross.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of 51 years; son, Scott (Miranda); daughters, Cindy, Kelli (James), Errin (Perry), and Tamara (Levi); brothers James (Theresa) and Patrick (Dorothy); sisters, Mary, Theresa, Catherine (Glenn); sister-in-law, Sandra; grandchildren, Aiden, Ashley, Ryan, Sara, Ellie, Connor, Corbin, and Caitlyn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and sister, Susan.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Tom touched are invited to the Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main, Lumberton, from 1p.m.-2p.m. followed by a gathering at The Richards on Sunday, February 11, 2018 to reminisce, celebrate, and support each other.
