Terry Eldon Rich, 73 of Beaumont, TX passed away Friday, June 16, 2017. He was surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Call, Texas on September 8, 1943 to Charles Brady Rich and Alice Junita Rich. Terry served in the United States Navy as a deep-sea diver while on board the USS Prairie, USS New Jersey, USS Alfred A. Cunningham, USS Chanticleer and USS Yellowstone. He was a two Bronze Star recipient. Terry enjoyed watching old western movies especially Audie Murphy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont where he sang in the choir. One of his favorite past times was playing dominos, but his passion was being surrounded by his loving grand kids.

Left to honor his memory are daughters, Jenny L. Lira and husband, Jeremy, of Cypress, TX and Junita Jo Moody of Lumberton; brother, Jerry Rich; grandchildren, Casey Cogswell and wife, Amanda, of Beaumont, Karli Cogswell of Beaumont, Stephanie Blanchette and husband, Zachary, of Lumberton; Allie Hancock of Lumberton; Taylor Olson and husband James of Cypress, TX; Gary Sontchi of Cypress, TX; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Elizabeth, Donovan, Olivia, Whitney; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Nell Bonner Rich; infant daughter, Amy Beth Rich; his parents; step-mother, Carrie Rich; and sister, Sherry Jo Rich.

Visitation with family and friends will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church at 3550 Dowlen Rd. Beaumont, TX. Terry’s life honoring service will follow on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 2 p.m, also at the church, with Rev. Bill Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Byerly Camp Ground Cemetery in Jasper, TX.

Serving as pallbearers are Trey Cox, Nathan Scego, Greg Scego, David Scego and Isaac Scego.
