Steven James Coutee

Steven James Coutee, 48, of Vidor, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was a country boy. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing. He taught his children not to judge a book by it’s cover. He was very big-hearted and he would give you the shirt off his back.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Evon Coutee and brother, Horace Graham.

He was survived by his wife, Theresa Scott of Vidor; children, Blake Coutee of Vidor, Megan Martinez and husband Richie of Vidor, Jessi Elliott and husband Colton of Vidor, Gwendolyn Scott of Lumberton and Kenneth Scott of Vidor; brother, Ezra Coutee of LA; sister, Lavonda Faul of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, McKenzie Coutee, Samantha Guidry and Rylee Scott, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

His family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil.

Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Coutee, Daniel Ball, Blake Coutee, Colton Elliott, Jessi Elliott and K.C. Scott.
