Shane Hardy Obituary

Shane Roland Hardy was born July 26, 1999 to his loving parents, Brett and Kelly Hardy in Port Arthur, TX. He passed from this life on December 27, 2019.

Shane had one of the most loving and kind hearts. He was respectful, tender, compassionate, and full of character. He was a competitive and enthusiastic athlete from a young age. He grew up playing baseball and basketball and was excellent at both. He was a true All-Star. He loved basketball and loved to compete, whether it was on the court or just a good game of street ball. Shane also loved to watch basketball. He loved the NBA, and was a huge fan of the Rockets, particularly James Harden. He always made sure to keep track of the stats. His competitive, fun loving nature was a part of him whether he was playing basketball or just enjoying a game night with family and friends.  He was an intense competitor and it didn’t matter if it was a game of Jackbox, ping pong, a board game, card game, arcade game, or video game, Shane always set out to win. Shane adored his family and liked nothing better than having the whole family together. He never failed to make time for the little ones at every family get together. He was the life of the party and the sunshine in every room. He had a permanent smile and a hug for everyone. He was energetic and outgoing, rarely meeting a stranger. Shane was a Christian through and through, he grew up in church and loved God. He worked hard and earned the respect of many. He was very intelligent and longed to make a difference.  Shane was a wonderful son, amazing friend, adored brother, and so much more. His kind spirit, bright smile, and loving hugs will be missed dearly. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of those who were privileged to have known and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory, his his father, Brett Hardy; mother, Kelly Hardy; brother, Dustin Hardy; sisters, Kassi and Kamryn Hardy; grandmother, Billie Bolton; grandfather, LJ Hardy Jr; grandmother, Joy Hardy, and many treasured extended family members and friends.

Preceding Shane in death is his grandfather, Joe Bolton Jr.
