Roger Godeaux Obituary

Roger Dale Godeaux was born on October 16, 1953 in China, TX to parents, Avie and Thelma Godeaux.

Mr. Godeaux worked as Supervisor for the Cardinal Glass Company from 2002 to 2018. Previously he was employed at North Star Steele from 1988 to 2001.

He graduated from Hardin Jefferson High School – Class of 1973 in Sour Lake, TX. Roger loved his announcing job of stock car racing at the Speedway 90 for many years in Beaumont, TX. He also enjoyed country dancing and listening to George Strait. Roger delighted in preparing his signature gumbo for his family and friends as much as they delighted in eating it. He loved going to Lake Livingston for a day at the lake and Crystal Beach where he enjoyed eating at The Stingray Restaurant and playing his accordion. Most of all, he loved his little granddaughter Everleigh.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Laina Cherie McGuire and husband, Quincy of Spearfish, SD; granddaughter, Everleigh McGuire of Spearfish, SD; brothers, Jerry Godeaux and wife, Diann of China, TX, Atlas Godeaux and wife, Betty, of China, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10:30 AM, at the Family Worship Center, 1170 Montrose in Beaumont, TX. In leu of flowers you can make a donation to his home church, The Family Worship Center. For those wishing to send flower arrangements, please have them delivered to the church on Friday, between 10 AM and 4 PM.
