Robbie Glen Burnaman, 80, of Kountze, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019. Robbie Glen was born on September 28, 1938 in Nacogdoches, TX to Oscar Ezell and Claudia Burnaman. Robbie Glen was born and raised in East Texas and he enjoyed hunting, but he loved fishing. Robbie Glen worked in the Parts and Service department at several Ford dealerships including Kinsel Ford; he would retire after 30 years. Robbie Glen also enjoyed horses and trail rides. He participated in numerous rides and was a member of the Jefferson County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse from the Groves/Port Arthur area. Robbie Glen was the oldest living Burnaman man; he enjoyed a long life. He also liked to work on cars; he had a favorite saying of “hold your mouth just right to start it”. Robbie Glen had the opportunity to travel when he was living with his daughter Shelley, they were able to travel the country while Shelley’s husband worked the rodeo circuit as a rodeo clown. He was always there for his grandchildren, he attended all their activities; he never missed a holiday, graduation, or other events. His family members would smile when talking about him, he brought humor and a sense of fun and adventure to their lives.
Robbie Glen is preceded in death by his brothers, Nathan Burnaman, and, Gary Burnaman; and a grandson, Blake McCorvy.
Robbie Glen is survived by a son, Brian Burnaman; a daughter, Shelley Stanley, and husband, Bobby Dewees; grandchildren, Daniel Burnaman, Ronnie Weeden, Chase Burnaman, Brett Burnaman, Abby Burnaman, Austin Burnaman, Dillion Jordan, Lyndi Stanley, Brayden Stanley, Cody Dewees, and Dillion Dewees; great grandchildren, Nykolas, Kolton, Easton, Kayla, Paislee, Brody, Ryder, Mia, Aiden, Acelee Jo, Callie, Eden, and Zoey; an aunt, Zeffie Jo Harrison; as well as other family members and friends.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. A Life Honoring Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2:00pm.
