Rhonda Marie Koons, 63, of Port Neches, Texas passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Rhonda married Denny Koons on March 1, 1975. They settled in Port Neches where they raised their three children, Dennis, Christy, and Jason. Rhonda was a full time housewife, but loved her flea markets and antique shops. She worked at Old Towne Flea Market for many years, until she achieved her dream of owning her own shop, Seven Sisters on Port Neches Avenue. Rhonda kept the doors open at her shop as long as she possibly could, until her health couldn't hold up any longer.
Rhonda had so much love to give to everyone; you didn't have to be blood related to be her family. She would love and care for any and everyone who walked through their front door. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rhonda will be forever remembered and missed by her devoted husband of 43 years, Denny Koons; loving children, Dennis Koons, and wife, Mandi, of Vidor, Texas, Christy Peterson, of Port Neches, Texas, Jason Koons, and wife, Charlene, of Port Neches, Texas, and Aimee Williams, and husband, Ron,of Mauriceville, Texas; sisters, Neda Hopkins, and husband, Gary, of Bolivar, Texas, Jackie Lakey, of Port Neches, Texas; brother, Henry Johnson, Jr., and wife, Lena, of Buna, Texas.
Rhonda's family and friends meant the world to her, but her 9 grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She will be deeply missed by every single one of them.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry David Sr., and Martha Marie Robson Johnson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, february 7, 2018 at 4:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 2208 Canal Street, Port Acres, Texas.
