Rena Jones

Rena Jones, 95, of Vidor, Texas went to be with The Lord on Monday, February 5, 2018.  Rena was born on July 28, 1922 in Rayne, Louisiana to Earnest and Irene Taylor. 

Rena was feisty, stubborn, had a definite opinion; these are some of the descriptions of her by her family.  She also was very loving.  She was a daycare owner and the children were well cared for, but she also maintained discipline.  She was adventuresome; traveling with the family and having her picture taken skiing, elk hunting, snowmobiling, and other adventures.  Some folks have their cars taken away as they get older, she did not drive, so she had to have her lawnmower taken away.  She was faithful to mow her yard, even at odd times, and was very particular about it.  These are some of the stories of Rena the family wants to share and remember of the matriarch of the family.  Her family will miss her dearly, but they will do so with a smile as they remember Rena.

Rena was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Jones; and a son-in-law, Don Taylor.

Rena is survived by a daughter, Marie Taylor; a son, Fred Jones; grandchildren, Donnie Taylor, and wife, Lori, and Lori Kobe, and husband, Jeff; great grandchildren, Tra Taylor, and wife, Brittany, Layne Taylor, and wife, Mandy, Matthew Kobe, and Charlotte Kobe; great, great grandchildren, Henslee Taylor, and Colton Taylor; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
