Mr. Paul Henry Tate, 56, of Lumberton, TX, passed away surrounded by family in his home on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Paul Henry was born on Tuesday, July 3, 1962 to his loving parents Gerald Tate and Annie Dutton in Lawton, OK. Paul Henry was an accomplished woodworker by trade, owning his own woodworker company making custom cabinetry. When not enjoying his work, Paul Henry loved to spend time with his family. Paul Henry could be depended on to attend any family reunion, family event or gathering; family was one of his most passionate commitments. Paul Henry was married to his loving wife, Drenda Tate and together they shared a large family and a beautiful life. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, Paul Henry could be found enjoying his most favorite pastime- fishing. However, if it was Sunday and football season, he was diligently cheering on his favorite teams while cooking, grilling or even boiling for friends and family. Paul Henry enjoyed Nascar, coaching his children’s sports teams, playing games with friends and family and in general enjoying life! Many things can be said about Paul Henry, but those that knew him best would tell you that Paul Henry was an amazing father, a loving son and brother, a supportive spouse, and a great friend. He will be sorely missed by all those privileged to know him.

Paul Henry Tate was greeted in heaven by his grandson, Carter Joseph Brackin. Left to treasure Paul Henry’s memory is his loving wife Drenda Tate; his father Gerald Tate and wife Janet; his mother Annie Dutton; his children, Paul Nicholas Tate and wife Melissa, Tazia Nichole Tate, Christina Washburn and husband Tanner, Michael Joseph Tate, Eric Brackin and Natalie, Scott Brackin and wife Emily, and Kevin Brackin and Jessica; his siblings, Stanley Ervin Tate and wife Candace, James Robert Tate and wife Regina, and Beverly Anne Winn and husband Norman; his grandchildren, Terry Beck, Katlynn Beck, Kandice Campbell, Gavin Brackin, Naomi Brackin, Rachel Brackin, Saylor Brackin, and Katelynn Brackin; and numerous extended family and treasured friends.

The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton, TX. A rosary service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton, TX.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton, TX with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, TX
