Mattie Lou Kelley

Mattie Lou (Skinner) Kelley, 75, passed away on June 27th, 2017. Mattie was born on April 20th, 1942 in Kirbyville, Texas to Marshall Decover and Viona Hooper Skinner.

Mattie married Robert Michael Kelley on March 30th, 1963. They were happily married for 54 years and had 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Mattie was a member of First Assembly of God of Silsbee for over 40 years. She enjoyed her family, her dog, her garden, and her savior most of all. Mattie was a prayer warrior if there ever was one. Mattie lived in Lumberton, Texas for 45 years where she spent her time as a wonderful caregiver to her growing family.

Mattie is survived by her spouse Robert Kelley of Lumberton, Texas; her two sons Michael Kelley and wife Lisa Kelley of Pipestone, Minnesota; Mark Kelley and wife Tami Kelley of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and daughter Tammy Burroughs and husband Marty of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren Stanton Kelley, Austin Kelley, Landon Kelley and wife Kayla, John Burroughs and wife Elissa, and Ashton Burroughs; and her great grandchildren Kamryn Kelley, Justin Kelley, and Bryson Kelley.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents Marshall Decover and Viona Hooper Skinner; her brothers Pat Skinner, Mike Skinner, Orlan Skinner, Durwood Skinner; her Sisters Mary Lou Fitch and Latance Mayo.

A viewing service will be held at First Assembly of God of Silsbee, 950 Highway 96 South, Silsbee, TX 77656 at Friday, June 30th from 5-7 PM.

A celebration of life will be held at First Assembly of God of Silsbee Saturday, July 1st at 10 AM.  Burial will follow the funeral at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs, TX.
