Mary Elizabeth Cordelia Rivas

Mary Elizabeth Cordelia Rivas, two-week-old daughter of Anna Garza and Joe Rivas of Silsbee, Texas, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at a Galveston hospital.

She was born February 16, 2018.

In addition to her parents, she is survived her grandparents, David Garza and Donna Hill of Nederland, Texas, Charlotte Russell and David Johnson of Buna, Texas, and Raul and Rae Rivas of Edinburg, Texas; great-grandparents, Reynaldo Garza and Rosa Garza of Alice, Texas, and Irma Rosas of Port Arthur, Texas, and Eufemia Rivas of LaBlanca, Texas; uncles, Mark Garza and Johnathan Barnett of Nederland, Texas, Kody Hill of Washington, Raul Rivas Jr. of Buna, Texas, Marcus Rivas of Edinburg, Texas, Robert Harlan of Silsbee, Texas, and Brian Sanchez of Silsbee, Texas; aunts, Christina Tabbara of Houston, Jessy Kerkau of Buna, Texas, and Becky Rivas of Baytown, Texas; and host of other relatives and family friends.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Mary Louise Garza; and a great-grandfather, Alfredo Rosas.

A life honoring service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the chapel of Lumberton Family Funeral Home located at 766 S. Main Street in Lumberton Texas.
