Mary Eileen Elliott, age 53, left this life on October 14, 2018. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 27, 1965 to Betty Eason Feagin and Horace Daniel Feagin.
Mary was a strong-willed fighter. Although she was the baby of four siblings, she would display talents and skills that would often impress her family. You could always rely on Mary to fix things that were broken. Being in or near water was something she fell in love with at a young age that would develop into a lifelong passion. From the time her mom installed a pool at their family home, Mary swam every day she could and also taught her children and many family members. She loved the outdoors, especially the beach. Mary may have been tough as nails, but she was true and selfless to those she loved. If you would ask her if she needed anything, it was always “No, but thanks for askin’”. Her grandbabies were her passion, she would call them “Sugar Britches” or “Shugie”. All left here will miss her, but she lives on in the memories shared with her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Melissa Eileen Elliott of Vidor, TX and Ian Christian Elliott of Vidor, TX; grandchildren, Evan Milstead and Connor Elliott; sisters, Toni Salyers and husband, Jack, of Lumberton, TX and Anne Bryant of Lumberton, TX; brother, Charles Daniel Feagin, Sr. and wife, Susan, of Village Mills, TX; aunt, Connie Guillory of Port Arthur, TX; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Mary’s life-honoring Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes, 1600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662, with Ft. Paul Sumler officiating.
