He was a man that loved God, his family and his church. He was compassionate about his life and community. He was married to Karen Pearson Simmons 40 years. He is survived by his 3 amazing daughters, Crystal Sanders of Vidor, Samantha Clifford of Vidor and Kristalynn Bloomer and her husband Jalynn Bloomer of Vidor. 2 wonderful grandchildren Joseph Sanders Jr. and Hailee Sanders of Vidor. He was survived by 3 sisters: Jackie Uzzell of Vidor, Becky Compton of Beaumont, and Terri Collins of Lumberton and 2 brothers: Steve Simmons of Orange and Edgar LeBleu of Vidor, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He had a love for music from ZZ Top to Amazing Grace. He played the bass guitar and drums and loved the saxophone (which his granddaughter plays). He loved race cars and motorcycles. He did not fear life or death. He could always pick you up when you were down.
He wanted everyone to know the Love of Jesus as he did.
He has now gone to be with the Lord and will be truly missed. Until we meet again, I love you.
2 Timothy 1:7: For God has not given us a spirt of fearfulness, but one of power, love and a sound mind.
