Logan Arthur Shriner, age 12, was “set free” on Monday, July 22, 2019. He was born on April 12, 2007 in Orange, TX.
When God made Logan, he made a beautiful soul. Strength and selflessness emanated from his life, constantly making a lasting impression on the hearts of those that met him. He was a huge fan of the Houston Astros and Houston Texans and took part in Little League Football and Little League Baseball. He amazed his coaches, not by speed or by physical strength, but instead, by his work ethic and heart, proving that he had what it took to make it to the NFL one day. He enjoyed his time fishing and was an avid catcher man. Logan gave 110% in every area of his life, but he never let his success change his humble spirit, giving to others was his greatest talent. Despite his sickness, Logan never showed weakness, he never put himself before others, regardless of circumstance. Throughout his battle, Logan wanted to start a benefit for other children who were sick, hoping to encourage others and give hope to those who were in need. He possessed an independence that most 12 year old boys do not have, while fishing just last week, when others attempted to hand him a fishing rod with a bite already intact, Logan simply replied “I’ll catch my own”! Logan’s life touched countless others, he will be missed by all that knew him, and all that knew him, loved him.
Logan’s favorite scripture:
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
