Larry Graham Obituary

Larry W. Graham

1948 – 2018

Larry Wayne Graham, age 70, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on November 30, 2018. He was born to Luther Graham and Faye Jean Haedge Graham on April 11, 1948 in Georgetown, TX.

A fun-loving, happy man, Larry was supportive to all that met him, always giving an encouraging smile; whether driving around visiting with others, checking tires and washer fluid of family and friends or using his cheerful, unforgettable sayings, Larry loved to form relationships, and many not only looked to him as a father figure but wanted him as their father. Being a man of rituals, he liked to make things tidy and neat. Larry had a certain way he liked things; often, he would smilingly agree with someone and do something else. After first talking to his future wife, Donna, over the CB Radio as she came home from work one evening, Larry would first see her when she came to his job. They married on April 22, 1978, and for the next 40 years, Donna would be his “Dear”.  He loved his grandchildren; doing what he could to show it, always bringing the largest toys for them, taking them to get sno-cones and making sure they were sugared up, before dropping them off to their parents. He had a wonderful sense of direction and always took the scenic route; the long way and back roads made for many adventures with his children and Donna. Time and again picking his favorite restaurants based on how they treated him, he loved food: especially his favorites, Dr. Pepper, fried pies, Lemon-lime flavored sno-cones and Snickers. Throughout his life, Larry had a passion for being a cowboy: team-roping, going to rodeos, working with cattle and watching RFD-TV. All that loved Larry knew that the “W” stood for wonderful, and he leaves with them many wonderful, happy memories.

Left to honor his memory is his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Jay Graham; daughters, Kimberly Mavis and husband, Kurt, of Leander, TX, Nicole Duffey of Keller, TX and Amy Stephens and husband, Bradley, of McAllen, TX; son, Casey Graham and wife, Dee, of Sugar Land, TX; father, Luther Graham; grandchildren, Madison, Griffin, Tucker, Kayla, Kristin, Kara, Lillian, Cash, Luke and Eli; great-grandchild, Presley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, of whom he always held a fondness in his heart.

Preceding Larry in death was his mother.
