Larry Wayne Atwood

Larry Wayne Atwood, age 58, passed away tragically Wednesday October 11, 2017 in Beaumont TX. He was born to Mann Allen Atwood and Alice Claire McKey on November 1, 1958 in Beaumont TX.

For most of his life, Larry was a Boiler Maker working for several refineries. Larry was a very kind loving man. He was highly thought of by his friends. In his early years Larry was a Golden Glove Boxing State Champion. He enjoyed Fishing, hunting and all sports, baseball being his favorite of all. Larry loved animals, especially dogs. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to honor Larry’s memory is his son, Clinton Wayne Atwood and wife Emily of Dallas TX; brother, Charles A. Atwood and wife Jennifer M. of Vidor, TX; sisters, Faye Simmons of Vidor, TX. and Shirley J. Harris of Lumberton TX; grandchildren, Alyssa, Cole, Madison and Hanna.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents Mann Allen Atwood and Alice Claire McKey; son, Cody D. Patton; brother, Thomas L. Atwood; sister, Sue S. Fruge and Carol Ann Johnson.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday October 20, 2017, 3:00pm – 4:00pm at Lumberton Family Funeral Home 766 South Main, Lumberton. TX. Followed by Larry’s life honoring service at 4:00pm. Officiated by Brother M.L. Leverkuhn.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Clinton Atwood, Steve Clayton, Charlie Atwood, Taylor Boudereaux and Greg Simmons.
