Kathleen "Kat" Cryer Mizell Loftin

Kathleen “Kat” Addison Cryer Loftin passed away in her home on Monday, July 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband Daniel Loftin, her mother, Aileen Mahfouz, and her youngest daughter, Kayla Cryer.  Kathleen was 57 years old and was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 19, 1960.  She was the beloved daughter of Aileen and Johnnie L. Mahfouz.  Growing up, Kathleen was the youngest of 4 siblings, and the most tenacious.  Kathleen was a Sunday School teacher at Sis Mildren Deville’s church in Vidor, Texas in her younger years.  She loved God with all her heart and allowed His miracles to manifest themselves through her life.  Kathleen was the most warm-hearted woman that many said they have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  She was friendly, kind, and endlessly loving.  Kathleen Cryer was a visionary; she built her business from the ground up.  But She was more than your average tax preparer; Kathleen Cryer was a friend and prayer warrior to her clients.  If anyone had a problem, Kathleen would sit right at her desk and pray with them; she had the biggest heart for the people who loved and supported her. 

Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Mahfouz; brothers, Danny Mizell, and Steve Mahfouz; sisters, Gin Mahfouz Buller, and Sherry Lynn Mizell; grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Harvey; and a nephew, Donnie Mizell.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Daniel Loftin; children, David Joseph Addison, and wife, Nicole, Kandi LeBlanc, and husband, Donnie, and Kayla Cryer; grandchildren, Chance, Cole, Kylie, Kate, Aubrey, Tristen, Hunter, Kallee, and Drix; her mother, Loes Mahfouz; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The Family will receive friends on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, 290 South St., Vidor, Texas.  Services Honoring the Life of Kathleen Cryer Loftin will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10:00am at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church.  Interment will follow at 2:00pm at Weeks Chapel Cemetery, Jasper, Texas.
