1939 - 2019

Judith Ann Lavine, age 80, passed away on September 1, 2019. She was born in Port Arthur, TX on July 13, 1939 to Walter Lavine and Alice Domingue Lavine.

A loving and caring soul, Judith was highly spoken of by all who knew her. She possessed a great sense of humor, sharing many laughs and memories with her friends and family. She had two farms and loved every animal on them, including; cows, emus, donkeys, birds, and dogs. She spent many days tending to her animals and enjoying their company. As a social worker for 40 years, Judith helped a plethora of people and found purpose in her work, she truly felt called to help others. She loved life and always had a positive outlook on it, her family finds peace in knowing she has been reunited with her parents and sister.

Left to honor her memory is her loving niece, Cynthia Grantham and husband, Tim Bean; nephews, Jeff Grantham, and Bruce Grantham; great-nieces, Aarin Penry and husband, Wally, Victoria Bodle and spouse, Josey Balsano, Kristin White and husband, James; great-great-nieces and nephews, Kyndal, Kadence, Christian, Braetin, Zoe, Justin, Emma, Easton, and Eli; and numerous extended family, friends and loved ones.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sylvia Grantham.

To honor Judith's life, a visitation with family and friends will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Grace Church, 1130 Hwy 69, Kountze, TX 77625. Services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at Grace Church, 1130 Hwy 69, Kountze, TX 77625. The burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Groves, TX.
