Johnny Spears Obituary

Johnny Wayne Spears

1959 - 2019

Johnny Wayne Spears, age 59, of Silsbee, TX passed away on October 29, 2019. He was born on December 12, 1959 in Kountze, TX to James Spears and Dorothy Jackson Cain.

A hardworker and vivacious man, Johnny was special to his family and all that knew him. He was a wonderful and dedicated father, husband, and grandfather. He worked for Temple-Inland for 27 years as a heavy equipment operator, always providing for his family. He loved to laugh with his family and friends, telling stories and “cutting-up” with loved ones brought joy to Johnny’s life. He enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling, and fishing anywhere he could manage, as long as someone would let him and sometimes when they wouldn’t. He met the love of his life when he was 11 years old, remembering exactly what she was wearing until destiny brought them together again almost 15 years later. He had to drive his vehicle onto Pam’s parent’s front porch to win her over, and so began 33 years of love, laughter, and joy. Though life wasn’t always a bed of roses, Johnny loved his family deeply and every moment of life now serves as cherished memories that will live on, forever.

Left to honor his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Pam Spears; daughters, Tiffany Scott and husband, Andrew of Silsbee, TX, Kimberly Coil and husband, Michael of Fred, TX, and Miranda Spears of Missouri; son, Travis Leblanc and wife, Lawanda of Fred, TX; grandchildren, Cyrus Lowe, Trenton Boring, Shelby Bouffanie, Andrew Leblanc, Thomas Leblanc, Waylon Coil, Dante Spears, Mikiyah Lutman, Mikah Lutman, and Malakhi Lutman; brother, Jeffery Spears; sister, Linda Harrington of Silsbee, TX; sister-in-law, Kim Strawther and husband, Tommy of Buna, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Spears; two grandchildren; and in-laws, Travis and Wanda Cravy; sister-in-law, Weada Spears.
