Joe Bevil Randall
1934 – 2018
Joe Bevil Randall, age 83, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on November 8, 2018. He was born to Xlander Reagan Randall and Pauline Murray Randall on December 2, 1934 in Beaumont, TX.
Joe was a quiet, conscientious gentleman. A dependable person that did not like to leave things undone, he would often find a way to fix things. Joe proudly served in the United States Army. While he travelled to many places during his service, he enjoyed telling most his special stories from Hawai’i. He met the love of his life, Esther, while they were both teachers. They would often work bus duty and eat lunch together, and over time this developed into a love that would last for many years. After his time as a teacher, he worked for, and later retired from, the Texas Employment Commission as a Veteran Employment Representative. Joe put his heart into everything that he did, especially when it came to his family. To his grandbabies, he was “Papa”; they loved him, and he loved them. He always had others on his mind, and his family knew that every morning he would pray for each of them. Golf was an important part of his life, and he played for many years. When his health wouldn’t allow him to play any longer, he would watch golf on television. Joe loved news and politics, always staying up to date with current events. His life and memory will continue to be cherished by all those that loved him.
Left to honor his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Esther Joyce Randall; step-daughter, Joy Kozlowski and husband, Russell, of Beaumont, TX; step-son, Collin Hext, and wife, Hope, of Tyler, TX; brother, Walter Randall and wife, Audrey, of Bonham, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Arnold and husband, Travis, Kevin Hext, Tyler Kozlowski and Zach Kozlowski; and great-grandchildren, Liam Arnold and Everly Arnold.
Preceding Joe in death were his parents; step-son, Keith Hext; and brothers, Bob Randall, Paul Randall and Bill Randall.
Joe’s life honoring graveside service will be on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703, with Bro. Bob Boone officiating.
