Jesse Albert Twiner Sr., 82, of Silsbee, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born June 25, 1934 in Arp, TX. He attended Texas A&M and was always a big fan. He was a hard worker and he took pride in growing his business as a brick-layer, which he did for 55 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Camo was his favorite color. He was a trumpet player and a piano player. He was a fan of classical music and classical composers like Chopin and Rachmaninoff. He was always playing Malaguena by Lecuona. He loved his Blue Bell Ice Cream and Dr Pepper. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cora Twiner; children, Cathy Jean Marino, Jesse Twiner Jr., and Blake Twiner Sr.; sister, Gaynell Monaghan; grandchildren, Brendan Kevin Twiner, and Joseph Samuel Perry Jr.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Perry and husband, Joseph of Silsbee, Kevin Twiner of Silsbee, Dodd Twiner and Cruz of Newark, CA, and Blake Twiner Jr. and wife, Cathy of Lumberton; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
His family will receive friends Friday June 2, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 3, 2017 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Ben White. Interment will follow at Hardin Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Rogers, Frankie Marino, Jacob Marino, Tobey Whitlow, Jesse “Jay” Twiner III, and Diego Chacin.
