Jerry Lynn Creel

Jerry Lynn Creel of Silsbee, TX passed away Friday, June 16, 2017. He was born in Kountze, TX on June 17, 1957 to L.D. Creel and Irene Creel.

Jerry loved to fish at Village Creek and enjoyed picking and teasing with family and friends using his trademark sarcastic humor. He had 2 beloved pets, his dog Mickey who brought a smile to his face by playfully biting his guests, and Clara the pot belly pig who followed Jerry wherever he went. But his true passion was spending time surrounded by his grandchildren.

Left to honor his memory are his wife of 40 years, Mary C. Creel of Silsbee; sons Daniel L. Creel of Silsbee, Brian K. Creel of Silsbee; daughters, Crystal K. Byrum and husband Allen of Evadale, Jerri G. Jenkins and husband Jack of Silsbee, and Samantha G. Creel of Silsbee; sisters, Kathy Loggins of Silsbee and Debbie Creel of Fred, 17 loving grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brother Larry Creel and parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home with a Life Honoring Service following at 6 p.m.
