Jean Jeffers Peveto, 82, of Beaumont, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 1, 2018. She was born to Earl Jeffers and Billie Tracy on Sunday, May 3, 1936 in Uvalde, Texas. Growing up in the Beaumont area for the majority of her life, Jean had an avid appreciation and love for many outdoor activities such as fishing, spending time at the beach and most of all gardening. Jean was blessed to have had a wonderful marriage of 59 years to her beloved spouse Donald Lee Peveto, who passed away May 23, 2013. Those who knew Jean well would tell you that the most likely place to find her was sitting cross legged on her bed decoding the key to lottery numbers and smiling often. Jean will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and caring friend.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; loving spouse Donald Lee Peveto; her daughter Donna Tomberlin; and her brother Jerry Jeffers. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Vicki Powell and husband Mitchell; grandchildren, Chad Powell and wife Lindsey, Gina Mackowski; great-grandchildren, Hudson Powell, Avery Powell, Dustin Rawls, and Dillan Rawls.
Jean will be committed to the earth along with her beloved husband of 59 years on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10am at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Seeds for Needs Garden Ministry of Wesley United Methodist Church of Beaumont, Texas.
