James Dudley Henson received his ultimate reward on Wednesday May 31, 2018 when he passed from this life. He was born to William and Ella Henson December 22nd, 1940 in Vidor, Tx.
James was easy going and loved to play bingo. You always knew where you stood with James, he was an honest man. Fishing was more than a hobby for James, he loved it, especially salt-water fishing. He also enjoyed hunting, when he was able to go. James worked as a machinist and was known for his wide array of knowledge, even in his later years he continued to work with his hands; his woodcrafting would take him to trade days in Livingston, Texas to show off his handiwork.
Left to honor his memory is; his sister, Anna Laird, his children James Dudley Henson, and Paula McKay, and his grandchildren, Zachary Henson, Axel Henson, and Shane McKay.
James is preceded in death by his two brothers, Dave Marsh Henson, and Elgin Myrle Henson; two of his children, Anthony and Jason; and three of his sisters, Lena Virginia Glover, Ruby Mary Resse, and Willie Pearl Henson.
Visitation with family and friends will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 1st, 2018, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home at 766 S. Main St. Lumberton, TX. James’ life honoring service will follow at 2p.m. with Bro. Kyle Warren officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Vidor, TX.
