James “Jay” Eugene Guillory
James “Jay” Eugene Guillory, age 46, of Houston, TX, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was born to Johnny B. Guillory and Therrelynn “Lynn” Gail Procella on March 29, 1972 in Beaumont, TX.
Jay was as sharp as they come, his mind was always working; even when his hands didn’t want to. He had incredible intuition; he often knew more about people by watching them than they knew about themselves. His talent was put to good use when his career path landed him in Buna, TX, as a car salesman. His ten year tenure with the Ford dealership was rewarded with part ownership through his hard work and accomplished results. He possessed a true joy that no sickness could diminish. When you saw Jay, no matter where or when, he was always smiling. He was an amazing father and his love for his children was unrivaled. Though Jay made a mistake that kept him from his family for years, his love for them knew no limits. He turned tragedy into triumph and vowed to spread the love of God with everyone he met. Jay will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Left to honor his memory is his fiancé, Christy Corley; mom and dad, Marilyn and Curtis Procella; Aunt, Ginger Coldiron; sons, Bret Collins and wife, Ashley, James Guillory and wife, Kalie, Jayson Guillory and wife, Jordan; daughters, Cajun Guillory and Ryan, Jayla (Guillory) Bush and husband, Bradley, Katy (Guillory) Terry and husband, Timothy; brothers, John Guillory and wife Amy, Herbie Kelly and wife, Chrissy, Justin Kelly and wife, Brooke; sister, Jayme Bleile and husband, Gary; and 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding James in death were his birth parents, Johnny and Lynn and his sister, Angela Procella.
A memorial service will be held to honor Jay’s memory on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at First Assembly of God, 101 West Trout St. Kirbyville, TX.
