JAMES ALBERT VENABLE

James Albert Venable, 50, of Gary, Texas, passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015. He was an outdoorsman who loved to ride his horse and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed cracking jokes. He was a real man’s man, he enjoyed clearing his land. He was very proud of his beautiful daughters.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ruben Venable and brother, Ruben K. Venable.

He is survived by his mother, Margie Smith of Vidor; daughters, Brittany McDonald and husband Chris of Vidor, Alicia Venable of Vidor and Cassie Venable and husband Corey Griffith of Vidor; grandchildren, Jaycie and Logan, Zac and Jasmyn, Alexia and Shelby; brothers, Ricky Venable and wife Lisa of Nederland and Kirk Venable and wife Amy of Houston; sister, Starla Humble of Lumberton and numerous nieces. Nephews and cousins.

His family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home Saturday May 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Saturday May 2, 2015 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
