Helene Elyse Hunt, 72, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Helene was born on December 2, 1945 to Jimmie and William “Bill” Mace in Port Arthur, Texas. Helene was self-employed for 35 years as a domestic maid service. Helene was a founding member of S.K.I.P. – Sick Kids need Involved People – Helene had the privilege of having dinner, twice, at the White House with President Reagan because of her involvement with S.K.I.P.
Helene is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Deloa and William Issac “Bill” Mace; brothers, Mike, and James; a sister, Caroline; and a son, Jason.
Helene is survived by her husband, Jerry Hunt; a daughter, Juanna Peyton, and husband, Timothy; sons, Jeff Clack, and Jerry Clack, and wife, Michele; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 foster children, Evelyn Cole, and Mildred Gilbeaux; a sister, Cherry Belt; and a brother, Dale Mace.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
