Frank B. Griffin

Frank B. Griffin, age 88, passed away Saturday September, 9, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Lee Griffin and Lena May Thomas on November 11, 1928.

Frank spent his career working off shore as a Shore man. He loved to hunt and fish. Gardening was a past time that Frank enjoyed as well. The Dallas Cowboys were his favorite football team.  Frank was a man of few words but if someone needed help, he was willing to help in any way he could. He loved his nieces and nephews and was like a father to them. Frank was a proud man and a faithful servant to our loving God.   He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue.

Left to honor Frank’s memory is his sister, Margie Morgan of Diboll, TX; nieces and nephews; Kathy, Lisa, Danny, Linda, Garry, Pam, Darrell, Todd, Brett, Eddie, Andy, Carol, Cindy, Patricia, Linda, Marilynn, Charles Wayne, and Billy; and lifelong friends, Betty Faye Weaver, Loretta Griffin, Margaret Cartwright, and Bubba Tate.

Preceding Frank in death is his wife, Lydia Griffin; parents, Lee Griffin and Lena May Thomas; brothers, A.A. Curley Griffin, Johnny Griffin, Freddie Griffin, and James Griffin.

Visitation with family and friends will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday September 12, 2017 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 South Main St., Lumberton, TX 77657. Frank’s Life honoring graveside service will be 10:00 am. Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Pine Ridge Cemetery, 13430 TX- 421, Kountze, TX 77625 officiated by Pastor Kyle Warren.

Serving as Pallbearers are Danny Griffin, Darrell Griffin, Darrell Krukow, Gary Griffin, Stephen Fregia, and Jimbo Flowers.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the team at AMED Community Hospice who gave such loving care to Frank.
