Eva Jane Edmonds, 71, of Silsbee, passed away on February 13, 2018 while at home with her family by her side. She went home to be with her Savior after a year-long battle with cancer.
Jane was born on November 24, 1946, the daughter of Wayne and Lena (Pannell) Easley. She graduated from Parkin High School in Parkin, AR on June 20, 1970; she was united in marriage to Billy Edmonds in Batavia, IL.
Over the years she held several different jobs, but, she always felt her most important role was being a mother, and homemaker for her family. After her children were grown she took a job at Dentsply in Elgin, IL, where she retired in 2010.
Jane attended the Apostolic Church in Illinois before moving to Texas. Her last four years were spent as a proud member of Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Silsbee. She taught Sunday School for years and remained a strong prayer warrior until the end. Her greatest joys were being in Church and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Billy Edmonds; her sons, Terry (Sherry) Collins, Tim Edmonds, Matthew (Debra) Edmonds, Don (Anita) Edmonds, and John Black; one daughter, Karen (tony) Jones; nineteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Riggs; two brothers, Ron Easley, and Bill (Lori) Easley; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Lena (Pannell) Easley; a sister, Caroline Ann Easley; and a brother, Wayne Easley, Jr.
Grateful appreciation from her family to her daughter-in-law, Debra; Mrs. Neva Holyfield and the staff from the SETX Professional Healthcare Hospice, who all ministered to her and took such wonderful care of her during her last few weeks with us.
