To my Mom
Everything I am today is founded in the love and nurturing of my Mom, Liz "Granny" Parsons. I could have no better friend or mentor, and as a shining example of selflessness and living in faith. Always thinking of the welfare of others before herself, my Mom took on challenges others thought too difficult.
On 8 April, just before midnight, she passed from this world to the next surrounded by friends and family at her home, just as she wished. There is no way to convey the presence of this strong woman's spirit except through those who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
I am forever humbled by her grace and dignity. I love you Mom, and I know you are having a joyous reunion with those who passed before you. I will live as an example of your love.
