Elizabeth S. "Betty" Findlater

Elizabeth S. “Betty” Findlater, 86, of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was born on March 12, 1931 in Cory, PA. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tending to her garden. She also enjoyed taking her grandchildren fishing. She was a big fan of the Gameshow Network, especially The Price is Right. She loved doing crafts with her grandkids. She loved to run the roads with her daughter. The most important thing in her life was her family, she lived for her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Findlater; daughter, Lorie Kay; and sister, Margaret Argento.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Anderson of Lumberton, Douglas Findlater and wife, Vickie of Sparta, MO, and James Findlater and wife, Cathy of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Bean and wife Devin of Lumberton, Elizabeth McBride and husband, David of Port Arthur, Austin Kay of Lumberton, Robbie Findlater and wife, Stevie of Charlston, SC, and Holly Findlater; great-grandchildren, Emily Bean, Mason Bean, Landon Bean, Madisyn McBride, Jemma Bean, and Leo Findlater; niece Nina Argento; and nephew, Anthony Argento.

The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service is for 12:00 p.m. Saturday April 1, 2017, officiated by Reverend Woody Sonnier. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery in Warren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Bean, Austin Kay, David E. McBride, Al Roberts, and David J. McBride.
