Doy Lee Swan

Doy Lee Swan, 80, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018. Doy was born on February 3, 1938 in Lick Creek, Arkansas to Harley Harvard and Leona May Swan.  Doy served his country honorably and faithfully in the U.S. Air Force.  Doy worked for the Temple-Inland paper mill for over 30 years. Doy enjoyed fishing and he really loved his dogs, they were his babies.  Doy was a good husband and father and he was always willing to help family.

Doy was preceded in death by his parents, Harley Harvard and Leona May Swan; a grandson, Bennie Rollings; and 3 sisters, Harlean Irvine, JoAnn Wolfsberger, and Phyllis Moore.

Doy is survived by his loving wife, Sue Swan; 2 daughters, Carrie Rollings, and husband, Bobby Raye, and Wendy Lemons; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00pm on Monday, April 30, 2018.  Interment will follow immediately at Kirbyville City Cemetery in Kirbyville, Texas.
