Doris Marie Blackwell passed from this life on October 3, 2018 of natural causes at her home in Lumberton, TX. Mrs. Blackwell was born on November 22, 1939 in Stanley, VA to John Glendon McCoy and Rachel Cubbage McCoy.

She is survived by her husband Glynn Blackwell of Lumberton, TX; son Rodney Blackwell and wife Debra of Monticello, MS; daughter Shelia Soileau and husband Shannon of Lumberton, TX; son John Blackwell and wife Jackie of Cypress, TX; and siblings John McCoy and wife Sandra of Stanley, VA ; Peggy Wimer and husband Howard of White Post, VA, Maxine Bennet and husband Lindy of Jeffersontown, VA, & Ruby Morrison and husband Lyle of Bentonville, VA; 5 grandsons and 7 granddaughters.

Preceding her in death are her parents John Glendon McCoy and Rachel Cubbage McCoy of Stanley, VA; son Glynn Blackwell Jr. of Monticello, MS and daughter Shari Blackwell of Monticello, MS.; 1 granddaughter.
