Donald Peavy Obituary

Donald Glynn Peavy, 77, of Lumberton, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2018.  Donald was born on March 9, 1941 to Amberry and Sally Peavy in DeQuincy, Louisiana.  Donald lived in Lumberton, Texas for 42 years; he retired from offshore in 2003 where he worked as an electrical engineer.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Amberry and Sally Peavy; a brother, Pate Peavy; a sister, Billie Peavy DeSpain; and a great grandson, Michael J. Smith.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dorothy Peavy, of Lumberton, Texas; 2 sons, Keith Peavy, and wife, Jeannie, of Lumberton, Texas, and Mike Johnson, of Mauriceville, Texas; a daughter, Wanda Pender, and husband, Mike,  of Silsbee, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Bradley Woods, Jarrod Peavy, Tyler Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Jacob Peavy, Mikayla Pender, and Kelli Pender; a great granddaughter, Miah Johnson; 3 great grandsons, Jak Johnson, Brayden Carroll, and Carter Carroll; 2 sisters, Diane Herrington, of California, and Margie Firth, of Washington; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

When asked about her 51 years with Donald, Dorothy replied “It was a Hell of a Ride!”

A Life Honoring Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
