Dale McKinley Fillingim

Dale McKinley Fillingim, 71, of Silsbee, TX passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019.  Dale was born in Silsbee, TX on October 11, 1947 to Clarence McKinley and Roberta Lucille Fillingim.   Dale was a hard-working and dedicated employee who retired from Clearstream Waste Water.  Dale was a good father and grandfather. He loved to fish and to take family members fishing with him; he could sit and fish all day and night.  He will be missed by those he loved.

Dale is preceded in death by his father, Clarence “Mack” Fillingim; his mother, Lucille Fillingim Layfield, and her husband, J.D.; a sister-in-law, Shirley Fillingim; and his grandparents.

Dale is survived by a daughter, Afran Fillingim Bullock, and wife, Shana Bullock, of Lumberton, TX; a son, Donald Dale Fillingim, of Rusk, TX; his long-time partner, Rhonda Simmons, of Silsbee, TX; a step-daughter, Katie Smith, of Silsbee, TX; a grandson, Matthew Gilmore, of College Station, TX: a step-granddaughter, Hailey Simmons, of Nacogdoches, TX; a sister, Beulah “Sissy” Grant, and husband, Edward, of Kountze, TX; a brother, Donald Earl Fillingim, of Kountze, TX; mother of his children, Janie Dennis, of Silsbee, TX; nieces, Regina Miller, and husband, Wayne, of Kountze, TX, and Angela Warrick, and husband, Daniel, of Kountze, TX; as well as great nieces, great nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.  Services Honoring the Life of Dale McKinley Fillingim will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in the funeral home Chapel.  Interment will follow immediately at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Hwy 421, Kountze, TX.
