Calvin Rosier Obituary

Calvin Earl Rosier, 68, of Lumberton Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2019. Calvin was born June 19, 1951 to "Dick" Ira Corneilus Rosier, and Ethel Maybell (Tanton) Rosier in Liberty, Texas.

Cavin Rosier spent the entirety of his years enjoying life, family, and friends in South East Texas. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed the outdoors. Calvin had a weakness for collecting junk. He loved to tinker and once he got ahold of something, he did not like to get rid of it! He will be fondly remembered for his “pack rat,” tendencies. He was a family man who had a soft spot for all of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. The feeling was mutual, for they adored him as well. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time with his precious family. He was lovingly referred to as ‘Pops, Pawpaw or Pop.’ He was a knowledgeable man and teacher at heart. If you were willing to learn, he’d teach you! On occasion, he would get his mind set on something and could not be swayed one way or the other. One never new if he’d be willing to reason over something or not. Calvin was also known for his great one liners and quick wit. He was a jokester and a tease who kept everyone laughing. The time spent with Calvin will be cherished, and the precious memories he left behind will continue to put smiles on the faces of those who loved him.

Left to remember Calvin, are his sons, Raymond Boyd and wife Jean of Ivanhoe TX, Calvin Rosier Jr. of Grovetown TX, Robert Rosier and wife Diana of Weslaco, TX; daughters, Sherry Leger of Lumberton TX, Michelle Renfro and husband Auther of Segno, TX, Toni Rosier and wife Donna of Beaumont, TX; brother, James Rosier and wife Virginia of Centerville, TX; sisters, Vera Valderez of Legget, TX, Betty Hendrix and husband Edwin of Dallardsville, TX, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding Calvin in death, is his father, Ira Rosier; mother, Ethel Rosier; and sister, Patsy Love.
