Barbara E. Welch

Barbara Elizabeth Welch, 58, of Woodville, TX passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Barbara was born on November 10, 1960 in Lubbock, TX to Hubbard L. (Red) Hardin and Bobbie Dunn.

Barbara was a wonderful friend to many, even her family saw her as someone they could bring their problems to and she would listen with compassion. Her daughter, Jamie, viewed her mother as “a piece of her heart”, never to be the same. Barbara was deeply caring of those around her and lived life unselfishly. When she would enter the room with her grandchildren, their eyes would light up and pure joy would electrify the room. She was always there when you needed her and did her very best to provide and protect her family. Barbara’s family remembers her best for telling “grandma’s jokes” and cooking enchiladas. She will be missed deeply and dearly.

Left to honor her memory is her loving husband, Paul Cahsat; daughters, Shauna Herring, Heather, Jamie Bertrand and husband Shawn; brothers, Randy Hardin; grandchildren, Amythest, Cheyenne, Clayton, Christipher, Dyllan, Kody, Fayeth, Kalob, Shawn Jr., Ja’Corey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubbard L. Red Hardin and Bobbie Faye Miller;husband, Clay Welch; brother, Charlie Hardin.
 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Chapel at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. A service honoring the life of Barbara Welch will take place at noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018 immediately following the service, a graveside service will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont, TX.
