Anna Ruth Young Price

Anna Ruth Young Price, 75, of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017. She was born April 5, 1942, to Annette Broussard Young and Harrison Young. She was a strong woman who raised her five children. She worked at the Benevolence Foundation and then worked as a record keeper for the Beaumont Police Department, where she retired. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning and sewing. She also enjoyed fishing and bowling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Annette Broussard Young and Harrison Young; sisters, Mary Catherine Jennis, Betty Hebert; and brother, Rayford Young; and son, Larry Price.

She is survived by her loving husband, James William Price of Lumberton; children, Sheila Dunn and husband, Greg of Beaumont, Kim Challie and husband, Joseph Langston of Silsbee, Wayne Orsak, and James K. Price both of Lumberton; grandkids, Lauren Challie, Gary Wayne Orsak, Kyle Orsak, Camden Orsak, Lena Orsak, Waylon Orsak, Lindsey Spear, Shaphan Lafleur, Weston Price Morgan, Logan Davis Price, and Alexis Price Kirchheiner, Jennifer Laudig, Joey Laudig, Jessica Laudig, and Sydnee Walter; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home Monday April 17, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Gerald Walden. Interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, TX.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scotty Langston, David Young, Logan Price, Waylon Orsak, Weston Morgan, and Shaphan LaFleur.
