Daniel Stewart Chamblee

Daniel Stewart Chamblee, 74, of Beaumont, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born on October 11, 1951, in Beaumont, Tx to I.C. Chamblee and Lois Tumlinson.

Dan was an old biker at heart who spent much of his life traveling the country, finding freedom and peace on the open road. Along the way, he collected stories, adventures, and friendships. Known for his sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor, Dan always had a joke, a nickname, or a bit of teasing for everyone he met. Beneath that rough-around-the-edges charm was a loyal and generous man who would give you the shirt off his back and never hesitate to help the people he loved. He had a special love for animals and was known for taking in strays and caring for them. He also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating unusual snacks of his own invention, though those who knew him will agree that his salsa was good. More than anything, Dan will be remembered for his loyalty, his laughter, his stories, and his big heart. He leaves behind countless memories and a lasting mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to call him a friend. Though his ride is over, may “Gypsy Dan” peace beyond the horizon.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Daniel Stewart Chamblee Jr. and Jordan Chamblee; grandson, Daniel Stewart Chamblee III; as well as a bunch of cats and dogs, friends that he treated as family; and numerous extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Daniel in death are his parents.

Daniel's life honoring memorial service will be on Sunday, October 11, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657.
