Linda Gayle Johnston

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Gayle Johnston announce her return to her heavenly home, after a brief illness, on October 7, 2018, at the age of 77. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her and ultimately gave her peace.

Linda was born to Earl and Lee Ardoin on March 28, 1941, in Ville Platte, LA.  From an early age, she was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support.  Linda served the Lord faithfully during her lifetime as a Godly daughter, sister, wife, mother, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and later, Grandmother, hostess and friend.  She lived with patience, humility, humor, and a gentle kindness that made her easy to love. She enjoyed her grandchildren, late night chats, laughing at life, cooking and traveling with her family.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, best friend, and true love of 59 years, Frank; children, Terri Beasley and husband, Mike, and Mike Johnston and wife, Sandy; grandchildren, Tiffany Adams and husband, Aaron, Justin Henderson and wife, Dawn, Aime’e Reddish and husband, Brandon, Amber Harris and husband, Chris, Sarah Cardnell and husband, Philip, Aaron Beasley and wife, Samatha, Sarah Beasley, Elizabeth Beasley, Kris Beasley and wife, Jenn, and Joshua Johnston; 22 great- grandchildren; brother, William Ardoin and wife, Lyndal; brothers-in-law, Clifford Johnston and wife, Mary Ann, and John Johnston; and many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Lee Ardoin, and Rachel Sander.

Visitation with family and friends will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 12th, 2018, at Buna United Pentecostal Church, 116 County Road 883, Buna, TX. A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2018, at 2:00 p.m also at the church, with Rev. Richard Dykes officiating. Interment will follow for immediate family at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, TX.
