Grace Argo Allen, age 78, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on December 13, 2018. Grace was born on December 4, 1940 to Emmett Argo and Adele Budesilic in Gatun, Panama.

Grace was a proud mother and her children were equally proud of her. She was a wonderful parent to both of her children and known as a surrogate mother to many others. The dinner table was always ready to be shared with anyone that showed up, her compassionate spirit was always at work to those in need. Grace graduated from Cristobol High School in the Panama Canal Zone in 1958 and later High Point College and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, obtaining a Masters Degree in Education. Grace loved to play bridge and a variety of board games, was an avid reader and an accomplished pianist; she enjoyed spending time with both of her children teaching them her favorite games. David and Laurie were thankful for their mother and will cherish her memories for the rest of their lives.

Grace’s memory lives on through her son, David Allen and wife Michelle; daughter Laurie Allen Young and husband, Aaron; grandchildren, Desiree, Madeline, Bryant, Georgia, and Samuel.

Grace is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kathryn Argo Taylor, and former husband Miley Edwin Allen.
