Zulyn Marie Boyd, 68, of Beaumont, TX went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, November 16, 2017.  Zulyn was born to Ruth Marie and George Wright on August 3, 1949 in Alhambra, CA.   Zulyn’s life was uncertain when she was young; she entered the foster care system at the age of ten.  She was from a small family, but always said, “family doesn’t mean their blood runs through your veins, it means it runs through your heart”.  Zulyn’s heart was big, and so was her “Chosen Family”.  Zulyn was ambitious and after she attended college she worked in insurance, worked in several fields, and even owned a construction company.  In recent times Zulyn was a Chaplain with CMA, Christian Motorcycle Association.  God was the most important thing is Zulyn’s life, followed by family.  She was funny, vibrant, VERY outspoken, and loved to play pranks on people, especially her son-in-law, Byron.  Zulyn had a sweet tooth, she had to have Honey Nut Cheerios and peanut butter and crackers every day.  She even had family out during the recent hurricane looking for more ice cream sandwiches.  Zulyn will be missed by those who were privileged to know and love her.

Zulyn is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Marie Beers, and George Wright; a sister, Donna Arnette; and a brother, Corbin Wright.

Zulyn is survived by a daughter, Valory Barnett Jacquette, and husband, Byron; a grandson, Justin Barnett, and his daughter, TatyHana Barnett; two granddaughters, Briahna Barnett, and, BriYonna Jacquette; a sister, Kim Pierce, and husband Mike; a niece, Shannon Reese; CL and Lois Brorsen; Loretta Dickey; “Chosen Children”, D’Angela and Randall Mose’, LaDawn Barnett, Starlyn and Dennis Arline, Robin and Craig Perry, and Perry and Tricia Martin; best friends, Peggy Saul, and husband, David, and Sarabeth Long, and husband, Norman; Jules and Leona Peterson; and her very special four-footed family member, Karly Jo Boyd; as well as numerous other family members and a host of friends.

“Perhaps my time seems all to brief,  Don’t lengthen it now with undo grief,  Lift up your heart and share with me,  God wants me now, He set me free”.
