Dad was in the United States Army and served during WWII, and was extremely proud of his service to man and country. He was an auto mechanic, and often called a “Tom of all trades”. He also was a cook, learning from the Army, and refining his skills into the best home-made cinnamon rolls, pecan pies, and most notably his coconut cake. Woodworking also became a passion when he learned it well into his eighties. He became great and would build a piece of furniture he liked rather than buy it.
Dad is survived by his sons Thomas Bell and wife Teresa of Spurger; Dan Bell and wife Linda of Lumberton, Russ Bell and wife Lois of Katy; Barry Bell and wife Barbara of Silsbee; daughter Cherry Bingham and husband Bill of Katy; brother Rev RP Bell of Lumberton; sister Jimmie Wood of Porter; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Earline Bell; parents Jesse and Maude Bell; brothers Clyde Bell and Jesse Bell; sisters Helen Womack and Mattie Cobb; grandson Josh Watts; and daughter-in-law Rita Bell.
He will be deeply missed.
