Sherry Esther Wells, 69, of Lumberton, passed away Friday March 3, 2017. She was born October 10, 1947 in Hull, TX. She attended Lamar University, where she met her husband. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching English and was dedicated to her profession. She enjoyed being the mother of her son most of all. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Terrell and Velma Patton; and cousin, Julian Patton.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James M. Wells III of Lumberton; son, James M. Wells IV and wife, Jennifer of Midland; and granddaughter Sara Wells of Midland.
There are no scheduled services planned.
