Robert Jacobson Obituary

Robert Leslie “Les” Jacobson, 64, passed away April 16, 2018. He was born November 24, 1953 in Beaumont. While he working as a carpenter, he was called to full-time ministry and served as a Pastor until he was called home. His life’s work was to spread the gospel all over, pastoring in Minnesota and Texas. He served First Baptist Church of Nome for almost 19 years. Les loved to laugh and enjoyed telling and hearing a good joke. His grandchildren will always remember “Paw Paw” for his willingness to play and be silly with them and tell them stories.

Les was a devoted husband to his wife Patsy. He was a loving father to his children Clay and Melissa Jacobson, Elijah Jacobson, Misty and Ali Shamsher, and Dusty and Erica Jacobson. Les adored his grandchildren Ella, Noah, Penelope, Samuel and Zoe. He was survived by four siblings and many other family members and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Henry Ben and Lillie Mae Jacobson.

Visitation is at First Baptist Church, Nome on Friday, April 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Nome on Saturday April 21 at 2 p.m. Graveside will be following at Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
