Robert Wayne "Bobby" Grisham
September 14, 1950 ~ August 25, 2015 (age 64) 64 Years OldRobert Wayne “Bobby” Grisham, 64, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home. He was a very adventurous person from his various careers in life to the hobbies he kept. In his career, he worked as a carpenter, pipefitter, civil engineer, karate teacher and diving instructor. He even owned and operated his own construction company for a time. He enjoyed woodworking. He built unique furniture from driftwood that he found. He even built the sign for a fishing park in Blue Springs, Missouri. He was an avid outdoorsman. He trained labs for duck hunting and was a guide for fishing. He loved animals and collected a wide variety, from tarantulas to snakes and dogs all the way to a pet lion. You name it, he owned it. First and foremost, he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his step-father, Leland Waldrep.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Ward and husband Kevin of Houston, Tiffany Suba and husband Edwin of Moore, Oklahoma, Tricia Grisham of Holmes Beach, Florida, Micah Grisham of Clanton, Alabama, Clint Grisham and wife Katelyn of Newport News, Virginia, Kristie Grisham and Paul of Houston and Wesley Grisham of Lumberton; father, Robert H. Grisham of Groves; mother, Juanita Garner Waldrep of Lumberton; sister, Carol Cavett and husband Jeff of Beaumont; brother, Don Grisham and Deloris of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Adrian Brandon, Trinity Suba, Ella Dilley, Jayden Grisham, Emma Grisham, and soon to be, Aubrey Nichols; dogs, Peanut and Cashew (Shoosho).
His family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Varella officiating.
