Patsy Wilson White

Patsy Wilson White, 84, died February 6, 2015, in Slidell, Louisiana. She was born on June 29, 1930, in Jasper, Texas, the seventh of ten children of Joel Molton Wilson and the former Nannie Gertrude Holton.

Patsy grew up in Jasper and the nearby community of Beech Grove, attending Beech Grove School and graduating from Jasper High School. She graduated from Business College in Beaumont, Texas and also got her Realtors license.  Before settling in Beaumont, and later Lumberton, she resided in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, while rearing 5 children. For 30 years she was the Credit Union Manager at Union Pacific Railroad Credit Union in Beaumont, Texas. Patsy loved reading, working crossword puzzles, studying her Bible and watching Charles Stanley on In Touch Ministries.  Her favorite time was spent enjoying watching her grandchildren play sport as she was their biggest and most vocal fan.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Leslie Tarter and husband, Glen, of Carriere, Mississippi, and Peggy Guilliot of Slidell, Louisiana; three sons, William Albert Miller and wife, Kelli, of Lumberton, Texas, William Richard White of Beaumont, Texas, and William Joel White of California; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sister-in-laws, Jimmie Wilson, Beverly Wilson and Frances Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers and sisters; and beloved grandson, “Little Ricky” White.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main St., Lumberton, Texas, 77657, 409-751-0390, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
