Parker Lee Bishop

Parker Lee Bishop, 78, of Lumberton, passed away Friday May 8, 2015 at his home with his loved ones by his side after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He loved to Joke and he always had a story. He enjoyed building things for his family in his woodshop. He was a very good husband.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Nawasa Bishop and sister, Ena “Meky” Bishop Potts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Dorothea “Dottie” Bishop of Lumberton; sons, Hollis Del Bishop and wife Cathy of Dickenson, Len Bishop and wife Lisa of Colorado; step-children, Susan Ann Horelica and husband Mark of Lumberton, Buster Ferrell of Lumberton and Melissa Lee and husband Clint Lemare of Vidor; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 16, 2015 at The First Baptist Church of Lumberton, officiated by Reverend Kyle Warren.
