Orval Lee Hinson

Orval Lee Hinson, 70, of Silsbee, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was a skilled carpenter. He was a member of The Pine Lodge No. 642 of Kountze. He retired from Lamar University as the locksmith. He loved farming and his cats and dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Erma Hinson; sister, Johnnie Hinson and brother, Bo Hinson.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Charlotte Doucette Hinson of Silsbee; children, Kenneth Stephens of Silsbee, Clara Stephens of Silsbee, Georgia Snyder and husband Robert of Cypress, Rachel Landry of Hawkspoint, MO, Paul Landry and wife Gina of Mauriceville, Charles Landry of Silsbee and Tammy Hinson of Vidor; sister, Shirley Strother and husband Robert of Silsbee and 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home on Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Ray McNames.
